Now days there are lots of conferences for Aesthetics and sometimes it becomes like a Difficult decision Which one will be the best to attend and have you also noticed that we Meet the same people across the globe where-ever you attend an aesthetic conference, Meanwhile you might have observed that there has been a lot of emphasis on pico-technology and It really caught our attention aswell.
You may agree that many companies are introducing new aesthetic technologies but there is a less focus on training, Everyone wants to sell the Pico technology and when you ask for an explanation, All of us tell you the same-thing, Well this one is the Fastest and it is ( 2ps ) , This is 7ps etc etc etc
I wondered how does one care , How fast it is in Pico-seconds, What my doctor friends really care for is “ Results “ and proper explanation of the technology on How it can add value to their current practice.
My Journey with Q switch lasers started almost 15 years back when I graduated and started working as a young Engineer. Back then Our main interest was Targeting Tattoos with Q-SWitch ND YAG LASER, I was surprised to Understand How Same type of Laser can Target Hair in Mill-seconds and Becomes a Ruthless Pigment Removing machine when working in Nano-seconds.
All those physics Concepts of JOULES , Fluence , FLUX which I studied in Engineering and Thought were use-less in real , Suddenly Came to Life. During one of my meetings a Doctor demanded that he wants to introduce a new technology called “ SOFT-LIGHT “ and After lot of research I discovered that Q-switch Laser can be used for Hair Bleaching and One of the Smart companies called it the “ Soft-Light Procedure “
The procedure opened a Complete New ERA for Q-Switch and It Graduated from a Tattoo Removal Laser to Hair Bleaching and yet a Carbon Laser much later.
As the indications increased , Inventions Multiplied and We launched the first KOREAN system using Fractional 1064nm, Our focus Was to treat the problem which had no cure and is called Melasma.
While working with Fractional 1064nm we discovered so Many new Indications and Protocols which further Made this device worth it’s Value , However another Aspect of this Superb technology was 532nm wavelength. In my early trials, I had scarred and burnt my face with it but Thanks GOD a Dermatologist prescribed me “ MEBU “ and I managed to look presentable again.
Bad way to learn but we Gathered that 532nm is a DANGEROUS wavelength for Asians (I am ethnically an Indian ) and Our background also Shouted loud that it’s an Amazing wavelength to Target Epidermal Pigmentation , So Long Live Science and we Launched 532nm Fractional Handpiece ,
Doesn’t it Remind you of iPhone and Samsung Now Days , Single Camera , 2 Camera , 4 camera etc .. But My concern is the Utility of all those cameras , and Similarly You may buy the Most Expensive laser but if you are not using it to it’s Potential then it May be like a Ferrari parked in The garage .
So Now , We have PICO technology and it can’t be parked in your Garage, It must Earn you Thousands and Hundreds of Dollars and Many more Happy patients.
